Wayne and Kabi

We were teammate and roomate when we all the way back in Canada, now he became a real man in Hong Kong.  Today is Wayne's wedding date with her wife Kabi. As his buddy, I full with joy and blessing for you both to have a wonder new page of life!

Even though I had duties in his wedding, I did squeezed a bit of time to bring out my camera to snap a couple shots. Here we go.

Sleeping and a dog

My title sounds weird huh? Coz it is a weird scene to me. 2 people sleeping under the bridge with a dog  in front of them, the image shows lot of question to me.
1. They don't look like homeless people.
2. How come their place looks setup nicely? Bed, chair, calendar....
I have no clue...

Staring at you

It was the scene taken inside the tram in Hong Kong.
P.S. I'm currently working on two projects at the moment and 1 of them is the tram project, I hope I can have some images share with you for next week!

Taking off the sunglasses

Shot at low angle

Since Hong Kong is such a packed place, it is almost impossible to isolate the subject in the downtown area. I found out shot from the low angle not only can help out to isolate the subject, but also shows the wonderful night lights and buildings in Hong Kong. Also, shot in rain is awesome, people more concentrate on the weather, I have a lot more freedom to shoot.

Used to my best friend

He used to be my best friend when I was a teenager. Now, we don't have much to talk to, that's just life. As I remember, we had phone call everyday, talked about everything, things have changed since I moved to Canada, our experience became very different, so does, mind set , preferences and almost everything. Now, all I when we have conversation, I feel weird, disinterested, and bored. Of course I still try my best as a listener, but I just have no idea how to give him some constructive feedback throughout. That's life.

Moment in a split second

This wonderful moment just happened right next to me in a split second. The girl jumped to her (grandpa or uncle's back). Luckily I took 3 shots and this was the keeper.

VSCO Film + Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95

I just tried the VSCO  Film preset in Lightroom 4 and it gave my image a organic feel of it which I really like. I will post more images by VSCO presets in the future to give you a more understanding about its quality. Also, I haven't shot with the Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95 for a while, as you seen in the image, it is just amazing.

Street stage

I heard some cool music from far and it made me to get close to see what it was. The street performers drew a huge crowd all by their music. I stood there and listen it for a while and snap two images of their show from my point of view (shoot at the back of the performer).

Olympus EP-5 from M43blog

The new Olympus EP-5 looks pretty cool to me, but the thing make me interested are 1/8000 (compare to 1/4000 in OMD) shutter and also FOCUS PEAKING! If you follow my blog, you would find out I use the Viogtlander 25mm F/0.95 Manual Focus lens a lot, focus peaking is such a charm for this combo! Can Olympus do me a favour by including the focus peaking in the future firmware update for my OMD? PLZ.......
